A. How Are CAP Entries Judged?
All entries will be judged by a committee of leading cable marketing professionals who have achieved Director levels or higher positions, and have at least five years of cable marketing or creative agency / media expertise. Our CAP judges serve by invitation only and are drawn from the following business and industry sectors:
- Cable Operators & Content Providers
- Advertising, Branding & Media Agencies
- Other Entertainment, Marketing and Creative organizations
B. Judging criteria
Each entry is judged by a standard of excellence, rather than against other entries. CAP is not a “best of” competition and winning entries must meet or exceed a predetermined score set annually by CTAM Europe’s Creative Awards Committee.
All entries are evaluated equally on the following seven criteria, which entrants complete as part of their submission process. (Please see Entry Form for details.)
- Objectives, Strategy & Core Message – What objectives did this campaign accomplish? What was the marketing strategy? What was the central message communicated?
- Target Audience – Describe the campaign’s primary audience, why this group was chosen, and how the communication focused on them.
- Media Choice & Usage – Which media was used and why? How did this tactic resonate with the target audience, core message and brand / product / service offer?
- Brand / Product / Service Offer – Which brand, product or service did this campaign promote? Why was it chosen? How did this campaign support the offer?
- Consistency – Was this campaign consistent with the marketing objectives? How did it relate to previous advertising or promotion activities?
- Creative Excellence – Which specific aspects of this campaign demonstrate creative excellence?
- Results –Why did this campaign succeed in achieving the objectives stated above? Please supply measurable data that supports the campaign’s success.
C. Scoring
CAP judges use a scoring grid developed by CTAM Europe’s Creative Awards Committee. Based on the above judging criteria, this grid is used to evaluate all CAP entries.
D. Awards
This year’s finalists will be notified via e-mail by mid-September 2010.
