CAP is an exclusive Creative Awards competition for CTAM Europe members only.
As part of our mission to recognize outstanding achievement and creative excellence
in European cable marketing, CTAM Europe invites operators, networks and content
providers to submit their best and brightest marketing, advertising and promotional
campaigns in hopes of winning the top accolade in their category: the Gold Creative Award.
The following guidelines should answer most of your questions about the competition.
1. ENTERING
Complete the CAP Entry Form at www.ctamecap.com and submit it online.
2. ELIGIBILITY
Entrants (or their companies) must be CTAM Europe members. (If you or your company is not a CTAM Europe member, please visit www.ctameurope.com/BecomeMember to become one today.)
3. DIVISIONS
There are two divisions and entrants select one for each campaign they submit:
a. Operators
b. Networks & Content Providers
4. ENTRY CATEGORIES
There are three categories and entrants chose one for each campaign they submit. (All categories apply to both divisions)
Brand Image & Positioning
Acquisition or Retention Marketing
New Product or Service Launch

5. SUBMISSION RULES
Entries must consist of current marketing and advertising materials first used between 15 June 2009 and 15 July 2010. They must also meet the following guidelines:
- Deadline: Entry Forms and campaign materials must be submitted no later than 15 July 2010 (or 15 June to be eligible for the Early Bird discount.) Any materials submitted after the deadline cannot be accepted for this year’s CAP competition.
- One Category Only: Each entry should be submitted in one category only. To avoid duplication, please include contact information (i.e., name of person submitting entry) on your Entry Form.
- Agency Entries: Agencies may submit campaigns on behalf of their clients by using their clients’ CTAM Europe membership names and IDs.
6. ENTRY FEES & DISCOUNTS
This year, in an effort to encourage more submissions, CTAM Europe is offering a special discount for more than three CAP entries. Please refer to below chart for details.

7. WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I SUBMIT MY ENTRY?
- All submitted materials will be judged and scored by the criteria developed by the CTAM Europe's Creative Awards Committee. (Please refer to the Entry Guidelines and Entry Form for details.)
- If your entry is chosen as a finalist, you will be notified via e-mail by mid-September 2010.
- All CAP winners will be announced on 23 September at CTAM Europe’s Creative Awards Ceremony during EuroSummit ‘10 in Budapest, Hungary.
- Gold, Silver and Bronze Creative Awards will be distributed in both divisions, across all entry categories, totaling 18 awards.
8. PREPARING YOUR CREATIVE MATERIALS
a) Acceptable Media Formats (i.e., TV, radio, online, etc.):
- Video must be submitted in MPEG, AVI or WMV files.
- Audio must be submitted in MP3 files.
- Print materials must be submitted in Jpeg files.
- Web site, online and e-components must be submitted as URL links or as Jpeg screen shots.
- File size can not exceed 30 MB.
Non-English entries must be submitted with a written translation and/or subtitles, including a headline translation and a short summary.
b) Campaigns
- Entrants may submit three different media samples per campaign. If you have more than three elements, please submit your three best examples. (Submit only one version of each media type.)
- All campaign materials should be submitted, as per the above media format requirements.
c) Collaterals & Premiums
Collaterals, premiums and other print materials should be submitted in Jpeg files, as per the above media format requirements.
d) Online / Web Components
All online, Web site and e-components must be submitted either as URL links or as Jpeg screen shots, as per the above media format requirements.
